  Joan Kalacis, Vice-President of Business Development for DBM, an international agency that provides career transition and talent development support, joined our members for an amazing members-only speed networking at Society Dining Lounge. Our ever-popular event helped the Y.E.S! gals how to work a room and introduced them to 26 other professional women in only 90 minutes!
• Y.E.S! Signature Event “Room with a View” at The Room at The Bay | October 2011
  Set among the brand new and ultra-luxurious backdrop of The Room at The Bay, this designer shopping destination was a perfect fit for an evening dedicated to fall’s fashion-forward styles featuring the season’s hottest looks from The Room, White Space and Topshop. Thank you to Fiona Forbes, our gracious host for the evening, and our amazing sponsors who helped us put on this fantastic SOLD OUT event!
• “Fresh Start for Fall: Building Your Personal Brand Online” at Goldfish Pacific Kitchen | September 2011
  Our “Fresh Start for Fall” mingler presented not-to-be-missed insights on how to build your personal brand online from one of Vancouver’s boutique social media communications agencies. Megan Halkett, Principal at Patio Social Inc., shared personal success stories and quick tips on how to develop your online presence through digital and social media.

  This relaxing mingler at Joe Fortes welcomed all our Y.E.S! ladies back from our short summer break and provided a great networking opportunity before the end of the summer season.
• Summer Style Mingler at Fine Finds | June 2011
  Our Summer Style Mingler saw members and non-members alike updating their summer wardrobe at Fine Finds, the chic Yaletown boutique with the hottest trends in jewellery, handbags, fashion and footwear, while enjoying a mini-makeover courtesy of Elektra Cosmetics and sipping complimentary New Zealand reds and whites.
• “Be Remarkable: Lessons from the Boardroom” atLevel Furnished Living | April 2011
  Our signature speaker series featured five amazing female business leaders: Janet Austin, Zdenka Buric, Ellen Pekeles, Susan Yurkovich, and Heather White. They shared insightful experiences and sensible advice with us and urged women to “be authentic to themselves” while climbing the corporate ladder. Fine wines and tasty bites were provided by Andrew Peller and Lazy Gourmet, and our door prize was kindly donated to us by Stella and Dot.
• Spring Mingler at The Granville Room | March 2011
  The first Y.E.S! mingler of the year was a great success in raising $200 for DFS Vancouver! Old friends had a chance to reconnect and welcome new members in a swanky, informal atmosphere.
