September 22: Oakridge Fall Fashion Affair

The first in our series of professional speaker events, Rosalyn Taylor O’Neale is a woman who embodies Y.E.S! Vancouver’s driving principles combining business and philanthropy in every respect. As former worldwide chair of Dress For Success, O’Neale is also an accomplished author, speaker, and business leader.

October 2, 12 – 2pm: Pink Tartan launch event at the Bay downtown

Exciting Changes Ahead!
As we begin our third season, Y.E.S! has some exciting news! Y.E.S! Vancouver is proud to introduce Katie Schaeffers (left) and Saphina Benimadhu (right) as Co-Chairs for 2009. Katie and Saphina have been part of the Y.E.S! committee since January of this year are excited to take on their new roles from fabulous co-founders Katrina Carroll-Foster and Louise Kozier.
Katie and Saphina have been instrumental in developing some of your favourite Y.E.S! events, including the 101 series and SpeedNetworking. They will be working with a dynamic new committee to produce a new signature Y.E.S! event later this season and a redesigned Y.E.S! Vancouver web site. More to come…stay tuned to meet the new faces of Y.E.S!

Since 2007, Y.E.S! has offered a fresh approach to networking and fundraising. Our events have helped bring dynamic Vancouver women together to meet and mingle in support of a great cause. So far we’ve raised over $50,000 for Dress for Success Vancouver and currently has over 170 active members. The funds raised has provided 300 Dress for Success clients with interview attire and access to the Career Centre and 66 more with membership to the Professional Women’s Group where they will receive mentors, opportunities for scholarships and other career development tools. It’s all about women helping women! Congratulations on all your all your hard work and thank you for your continued support.

Through the month of September, enjoy Cupcakes in support of DFS. Cupcakes is proud to donate a portion of the proceeds from every dress you up cupcake sold to help fund the Dress for Success Vancouver Society. The delectable vanilla cupcake finished with purple buttercream and decorated with a fondant bow will be sold at all 5 Cupcakes Bakery locations.
Also visit Bistrot Bistro on 4th Avenue for Karma Tuesdays till the end of September. 5% of sales go straight to DFS.
