Katie SchaeffersKatie has been a proud member of Y.E.S! Vancouver since its inception in 2007 and served as its Director of Events from December 2008 until Summer 2009. She now serves as its Co-Chair with the fabulous Sarah Ueland. Katie has lived and worked in Montreal, Washington DC, and London UK, and has a Masters degree in Media and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently an Event Manager with MVKA Productions, Katie loves using her creative and logistical background, and her connections with Vancouver’s movers and shakers to bring fun, fresh, meaningful events and opportunities to the Y.E.S! Vancouver community. |

Sarah UelandSarah Ueland has proudly supported Y.E.S! since its inception in 2007. A Public Affairs Advisor at BC Hydro by day and a self-proclaimed yogi by night, she has spent the past three years leading the membership team at Y.E.S! and is excited to take on the Co-Chair position and work closely along side Katie in leading the larger Y.E.S! team. When she’s not practicing her favourite headstand position, she loves to volunteer, travel and explore the world or indulge in a great book or movie. |

Valerie FernandezValerie Fernandez is the Career Centre Coordinator at Dress for Success Vancouver. In this position she has established the first Dress for Success (DFS) Career Centre in Canada, which gives clients access to relevant computer applications and tutorials, mentors, as well as a variety of workshops and seminars to advance their professional development. Valerie has her hand in all aspects of Y.E.S! and helps to keep the committee current with DFS priorities. In her free time Valerie can be seen riding around town on her bike. |

Nicole HallNicole Hall joined the Y.E.S! Vancouver Events team in spring 2009. As a Public Relations Consultant for Sara Pereira: Marketing & Communications, Nicole brings with her a wealth of knowledge in event planning and promotions. Nicole attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology where she graduated from the Marketing Management program, with a focus on communications and events. When Nicole isn’t working, you can be sure to find her in Yaletown sampling fare at the latest dining hotspot. |

Lisa RobinsonLisa joined Y.E.S! in February of 2009 as part of the Communications team and has since moved to Events. Lisa is a Project Manager at a web design firm but has a passion for making jewelry. You can find her selling her unique pieces at local artisan fairs. She is also an Energy Healer, loves yoga and never misses an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. |

Sasja SmitHailing from New Zealand with volunteer, educational and professional experience in Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia and Canada, Sasja has some very interesting stories to share. Trained in Japanese and schooled in adventure, she brings an ideal mix of book learning and on the fly adaptability. Her dynamic experiences in both the public and private sector, from fashion to banking have enabled her to share perspectives across cultures and environments. You can catch Sasja riding fresh tracks in the winter and sun tanning in the summer. |

Jen SeccombeJen Seccombe has been a Recruitment Specialist at Staff Systems for over 2 years and loves to utilize her matchmaking skills to find the best people for the right jobs. Jen is a proud member of the Y.E.S! Membership team and hopes to recruit new fabulous women throughout Vancouver to come out, have fun, and become part of Y.E.S! and its worthwhile cause. |

Yetlanezy HernandezWith a background in media and communications, Yetlanezy turns ideas into action as a Digital Production Artist with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games (VANOC) web team. Yetlanezy joined Y.E.S! as part of the online team in early 2009 and enjoys the creative collaboration involved in developing the new website. Yetlanezy brings her extensive experience from Rogers Television and Canada Post and an education in Interactive Multimedia Development from Ottawa’s Algonquin College. She’s passionate about design, travel, cultural exchange, studying languages and volunteering. |

Cydney BrownCydney joined the Y.E.S! Communications team in 2009 and she has since been responsible for spearheading all online communications efforts. In 2009, the Y.E.S! Communications team launched a Facebook Page, twitter account, flickr account, Linkedin account and a new website. Cydney has been responsible for client acquisition for an online marketing agency, 6S Marketing, since 2005. Cydney received her BA in International Economics and Commerce from McGill University, and developed her skills in sales and marketing in Madrid, Australia and Montreal before moving to Vancouver. Cydney loves to travel, dine out with great friends and ski whenever possible. |
